Life After Star Trek

The latest post from Wil Wheaton (yes, that Whil Wheaton of ST:TNG Fame) is a good read. While I have problems with the sycophants who hang on his blog because he’s an Internet “star”, I appreciate that he actually writes about his life and the consequences of being a formerly successful child actor. There is something strangely resonating about reading his entries, but it probably has more to do with my remembrances of Trek and the good feelings it evoked during that period in my life than with him on a personal level.

It’s nice to see that he’s turned out to be a decent fellow, and I hope he uses his newfound fame to leapfrog into something more successful. Other former child actors should follow suit. If only Dana Plato had blogged. I would pay cash money if Todd Bridges’ or Gary Coleman’s started to blog.
