Sweet Home Chicago

I’ve been missing my hometown Chicago lately. This usually happens when a) good friends come to visit us in Silicon Valley or b) warmer weather comes around and I remember how great the city is when it’s warm. If you’re from Chicago, you know what I mean by the term warm. It may be 45 degrees outside and to a Chicagoan twisted and gnarled from a horribly cold Winter, it’s warm. It’s all relative.

That being said, I live vicariously in my hometown through other Chicago Bloggers I’ve never met. Dawn over at lifeuncommon and chicagouncommon also takes lovely photos that captures some of the architecture and spirit of the city that I miss.

The Bay Area is still the place to be for Jen and I. But I finally realize what those Blues singers at the Checkerboard meant when they sang about “Sweet Home Chicago”.
