Afflictions

I’ve had a weird week that is too exhausting to detail here. I’ve been diagnosed with this strange malady called Labyrinthitis. No, the condition does not make you want to dress up like David Bowie in the movie with a similar name, although truth be told, I’d prefer that over the real symptoms. It’s a condition where the inner ear somehow becomes afflicted and you experience the feeling that I can only describe as being on Benadryl all the time. All the time. Not fun. It’s supposed to be temporary, but that’s a relative term that can mean weeks or months.

In any case, I still have my faculties (barely there to begin with), as well as my biting wit, a penchant for hyperbole (see the previous about biting wit) and my proclivity for taking a long time to say absolutely nothing. So in other words, it’s business as usual here at the ranch. Hopefully, this medical condition ends sooner rather than later so I can continue being my sardonic, healthier self.
