Holy Cow. The Cubs are currently in first place. Their magic number is 5. The last time they won the NL Central division I think I was a Freshman in high school. That’s 1984 folks. Go Cubbies!
In the meantime, the A’s clinched their division today, while the Giants won theirs last week. It’s such a weird experience living in a place that has sports teams that actually win year after year. Luckily for the Cubbies, they got Dusty Baker this season, who coached the Giants to last year’s World Series. It would be great to see a matchup between any of these teams. This should be an interesting post-season.
