Cubs Lose! There are many sad Chicagoans and Cubs fans all over the country this evening. While the loss certainly hurts, it’s not quite the same as being 6 outs away from winning the World Series, but losing two straight games like the Giants did last year to the Angels. Maybe next year.
One need only look to the news today however about the Staten Island Ferry tragedy to put this trivial sports loss into real perspective.

I actually missed that part… I was busy giving the munchkin a bath. A friend of my wife and I told us how sad the city was today. She could care less about baseball, so I thought it was kind of funny, although I can’t say I blame them. Oh well. We’re used to it right? Maybe next year.
