Walter Murch, a master film editor whose movie credits include Apocalypse Now and The English Patient talks about editing Cold Mountain on the Mac platform using Final Cut Pro. A great interview not because it gets into the technical details of editing the film on the Mac (it doesn’t), but because Murch discusses his art, how he edits a film using what he calls “meta-strategies” and “the weight of images”.
