The top 50 most commonly found used CDs [via rc3]. I own or have owned 25 out of those 50. Going through that list of music really brought me back: hot Chicago summers, full of memory and nostalgia about a careless time when CDs and the music on them were actually worth buying (used at least). I could stay out drinking until three in the morning, come home smelling of cigarettes, loaded on Rolling Rocks and still be able to wake up and get to work by nine the next morning. On a Monday no less. A fun list, if only to jar the cobwebs of your GenX past.
A strange sidenote: I concur about the well-deserved pasting Veruca Salt gets. I thought they blew from the very beginning. However, I did follow the link to the band’s site and was a little shocked to see Louise Post (originally had black hair but is now a blond). Is it me or has she gotten a little Anna Nicole-esque?
