Which isn’t to say a terrorist attack can’t happen despite our best efforts at prevention. One need only look to the lockdown police-state culture that is Israel to see people intent on committing despicable acts will find a way to subvert even the most extreme of security measures. I just find it strange that right-wing pundits foresee an attack and the subsequent executive fiat as a foregone conclusion.
