Memento Mori: A traveling art show with cadavers on display. Gory, macabre and fascinating, it simultaneously de-personalizes death, yet strikes deep into the heart of the cultural fears surrounding our own mortality. While I see those images and am rudely reminded that I am merely a bag of flesh and bones, on a philosophical level it reinforces my belief in living a meaningful existence, because in the final reduction, that is all we have.
