Tuesday, September 28th, 2004 at 12:41 am
There are more than enough reasons to deny George Bush a second term. This however is the most important reason, the repercussions of which will echo and be felt for a very long time. For this reason alone, this is easily the most important election of my lifetime.

I didn’t see the President’s speech this evening, but by all the accounts I’ve read, it was a complete train wreck. Fortunately, there is A Busy Person’s Guide to the Bush Press Conference to help summise this apparently sad display of rehashed talking points and repetitive gibberish.

Congregating with the Choir
Wednesday, April 7th, 2004 at 8:54 pm
More than any time in recent history, we are more likely to be living in a place where the majority of our neighbors think and vote the same way we do. According to the Statesman:
[Our] country [is] so out of balance, so politically divided that there is little competition in presidential contests between the parties [...]

Howard Dean Replies

Out of the Mainstream? Hardly. Howard Dean replies to a Washington Post Editorial concerning his foreign policy positions. A nice retort, but it doesn’t change my mind that Howard Dean is still unelectable, regardless of how centrist he really is. The Democrats need someone who knows how to play hardball and Dean is [...]
