The Dasher Project uses the metaphors gleaned from ZIPs (Zooming Interface Paradigm) about infinite desktops to create a highly efficient, usable, albeit unconventional text-entry system. Very cool. It uses one of the most beneficial, yet seldom applied, UI principle: Fitts’ Law.
